5. Mountain Addicts reserves the right to waive any refund and fees at our discretion.

Weather/Avalanche Hazard Considerations

Cancellation of a program due to weather or avalanche hazard is at the sole discretion of Mountain Addicts. In the event of a cancellation due to weather, Mountain Addicts will attempt to reschedule, offer an alternate program, or issue a refund.

Mountain weather is unpredictable, despite the best efforts of meteorologists. It is not practical to refund every guest who is uncomfortable with the weather on the date of their trip.

In times of an extreme weather event in the forecast, Mountain Addicts will not agree to reschedule or cancel the trip until within 24 hours of the start date of the trip. This includes cold temperatures, rain, and avalanche hazard conditions. We cannot use a specific temperature as a cut-off for cancellation as sun exposure and wind are also contributing factors. For example, a temperature of -25 degrees celsius on a sunny day is a less hazardous than -25 on a cloudy and windy day.

Gift Certificates

1. Gift certificates purchased for a course or trip are for the dollar value of the course at the time of purchase. If the price of the course or trip increases, the value of the gift card does not increase and any cost exceeding the value of the gift certificate will have to be paid by the redeemer.

2. Gift certificates do not expire.

3. The gift certificate is transferable but not refundable.

4. Any balance remaining is not exchangeable for cash.

Thinking of making a booking? BEFORE booking any program with Mountain Addicts Guiding and Instruction Inc., participants must agree to sign the waiver/release of liability. 2024-2025 AST and ski touring courses are being added to the calendar during the month of July.
